I ran about 3 tanks of fuel through the truck, and the best tank was 23 MPG. It took me a while to get to speed.Īlso part of the deal was to never go over 65 MPH. For this test I DROVE OFF OF THE PYRO!!! No more then 650deg EVER the whole trip. I took the truck on a road trip to the Rogue Brewery in Oregon. Amazing!Īnd a Tuner by good old Jody at DP-Tuner. Whicked Wheel (Had surge after tuner install)Ħ.0 Trans cooler (Best mod on the truck!!!) Never over 160deg towing in 100+ temp. ![]() NAPA 6637 ? Filter that I home made an intake out of.Ĭrossover HP tube from ITP (Helped with idle, and noise thats about it) Muffler delete (No cat on the 2001's so its just a pipe now) on stock exhaust I put grandpa pizza cutter tires on it, and the springs are sagged from 183,000 miles of use. They only thing they messed up with is the down-pipe restriction as far as I'm concerned, that is if you want to run a super-tuner or Banks. It takes an hour and will save you about $1100 if you have to replace it. I did it myself (worked in auto body in younger years) and then did a machine glaze polish to the rest of the paint and it looks like it came off of the showroom! Also crawl under it and wirebrush the oil pan, spray on some rust converter and the some underbody sealer and save yourself the pain of a replacement. If you live in the zone of the US with snow you'll want to re-do the paint on the bottom of the doors before it goes cancerous. Pulling 4 tons today of washed stone, trailer was another 2k lbs, and it seemed like I was just touching the "slightly-fazed" zone. I usually run about 10.5k on the scale with my work tools inside and it doesn't feel it at all. I've done nothing except a work-truck cap on it and some Timbren ride control assist on the rear end. ![]()
